Visitor Reviews

"For those with weak knees or sensitive joints, it remains safe even with slight vibrations, but the views are absolutely stunning. The tour guide, ambiance, and vibes are excellent. The air and water are clear, facilities are clean, and the food is delicious and hot—perfect for the cold weather. There are also campsites by the lake; you can rent equipment or bring your own tent by inquiring at the initial registration/ticket counter. A must-visit at least once; you won't regret it. Wonderful Indonesia."

"The roads are fine, the trails are good, but there are many shadowed posts along the Gunung Putri trek, which caused us to stumble frequently. However, the service is excellent, and the food there is outstanding and very local. Overall, no regrets at all; it was a great trekking experience. See you again, Gunung Gede."

"My feet ache after walking on entirely rocky terrain. A round trip from the base to the summit and back, hiking fast, can take up to 14 hours."

"God's creation is truly beautiful. The downside is the leeches, apparently. Oh well, bringing a raincoat and jacket is the best move. I'll definitely visit again with my best friend."

"A favorite getaway spot, from singles to parents with two kids and older children. However, it has become somewhat overpriced now. Camping at the Mandalawangi Buper area costs 72,000 IDR per person for entry, and hiking to Cibeureum Waterfall is 32,000 IDR per person. It felt relatively quieter during my last visit on Nov 29–30, 2025. Hopefully, the management will conduct an evaluation. Interest remains high, though..."
