Additionally, many visitors take time to relax in the basement area, which is lined with renowned bakeries and snack kiosks. Do not overlook the spacious, air-conditioned mosque on the upper floor, which offers a serene retreat and serves as a gathering place for religious activities, such as communal iftar during Ramadan.

Practical Visitor Tips

To maximize your visit, consider several practical preparations. First, allocate a specific budget for fabrics and tailoring services if you plan to commission custom garments, as material costs and sewing rates vary depending on quality and design complexity. Second, carry small-denomination cash, as many traditional vendors still prefer cash transactions. Third, exercise patience when queuing at the exit gates, particularly on weekends or public holidays, as high visitor volumes frequently cause delays. Finally, utilize public transportation if you are unfamiliar with Kebayoran Baru traffic, and always consult store staff in advance regarding fabric stock availability to save time.

Visitor Reviews

"Regarding ready-to-wear clothes, I find them somewhat uninspiring. There are a few high-end and expensive batik shops, beautiful Sumba fabrics, and lovely Malang dresses, but for quality workwear with cute designs, I feel they fall short. The third floor, if I'm not mistaken, is full of kebaya tailors and sequin appliqué specialists, so it's an excellent spot for custom sewing. As for the food I tried and enjoyed: Lekker, Kebab Mayestik, and the bulk snacks are all delicious."

"A top destination for food lovers, with zero missteps in my opinion. Shopping for fabrics at Toko Fancy is also excellent, offering a wide variety of material choices. Car parking is available in the multi-story building with ample space."

— @Hanif Shidiq (5/5)

"It is always an enjoyable experience visiting Mayestik. My main reasons for coming are to visit Khong Guan Mart, grab some kebab, and browse the bakeries in the basement, haha. I was pleasantly surprised to find a communal iftar event at the upper-floor mosque during Ramadan (take the elevator to P3). The mosque is incredibly spacious, air-conditioned, and features a bonus ablution area with a beautiful view. MashaAllah."

— @Indah Prasetya (4/5)

"The official sign states that standard car parking is 5,000/hour, but suddenly the ticket issued was 7,500/hour... Then, inside while picking up my parking ticket, I was asked for an additional 3,000 for unofficial parking? That totals 10,000. Where does that money go? Is it for the government or just thugs? Absolutely ridiculous."

"There are numerous stores selling materials, and I recently visited Toko Fancy—wow, the selection of fabric types is extensive. There are also many tailors on-site, allowing for immediate custom sewing. It is truly a one-stop destination, complete with stores like Toko Maju that stock every imaginable garment accessory."

— @Marlince Saragih (5/5)
