Getting There

Teras Merapi is located at Kalitengah Kidul, Glagaharjo, Cangkringan District, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta 55583. Road access to the area has been improved and is generally smooth, but caution is advised if relying solely on GPS navigation, as certain stretches are narrow and rocky. Practical Visitor Tips

Pack warm clothing, as nighttime temperatures in this area tend to drop due to the mountain elevation. If you plan to camp, reserve your tent well in advance to secure a slot, particularly on weekends. Bring personal hygiene supplies and medications, as while water facilities are adequate, self-preparation is still necessary. Check the weather forecast before departure, as dense fog frequently shrouds the area from morning until afternoon, which may obscure views of Mount Merapi. Finally, maintain environmental cleanliness and observe quiet hours to ensure a comfortable experience for yourself and other visitors.
