Third, if you have an urgent need to use the restrooms, check their condition beforehand, as several reviews mention non-functional or poorly maintained facilities, particularly on the second floor and in the basement. Finally, consider carrying small-denomination cash to facilitate transactions at various stores or to cover parking fees.

Visitor Reviews

"My first time visiting Binjai Supermall. Honestly, it doesn't quite feel like a 'super mall' yet, but it is quite well-equipped with Guardian, Matahari, Payless, Mr. DIY, Nelayan Jala Jala, and children's play areas like Cocoland, Max Coffee, and Naughty. This seems like a good alternative mall for people traveling to Binjai by train. So far, the mall doesn't have too many choices, but it's fine for a visit, just grabbing food with friends, family, or a date. Oh, and there's also a Ria Busana store that's always crowded with ladies."

"The parking policy at Binjai Supermall is very poor. Parking in the BSM area needs stricter enforcement, better organization, and proper protection for riders' belongings like helmets. Don't just ignore it when people lose items in the BSM parking lot."

— @BADROULL (1/5)

"From now until three years ago, I've been coming to BSM (the women's toilet on the 2nd floor has never been fixed). Even though there are 6 toilet doors, only 2 are functional. If you can't afford to pay for repairs, don't even bother running a mall. It's really traumatic, especially since the toilets are filthy—the tiles and doors are dirty. Cleaning staff only wipe up floor puddles and never scrub the seats. Oh, and in the basement, I once saw cockroaches and small insects. It's disgusting, I swear."

— @hany chandra (2/5)

"The layout of stalls inside the mall is somewhat disorganized, but a few are quite neat and attractive with their offered advertisements. The parking area is a bit chaotic due to food vendors. The restrooms have a slight odor and the water flow is poor (some faucets are broken)."

— @Simon Chandra (4/5)

"Terrible mall, the AC isn't cool, and facilities are poor. Many toilets are non-functional. I've been to this mall twice, but every time I want to use the restroom, there's a long line because many toilets on each floor are broken."

— @Diana sari (1/5)

Despite the various facilities on offer, Binjai Mall remains a relevant and frequently visited shopping destination in Binjai. Although there are some criticisms regarding facility maintenance and parking management, its high popularity demonstrates that it continues to adequately meet the basic and recreational needs of the community. The 4.3 rating reflects the experience of the majority of visitors who are satisfied with the easy accessibility and the availability of the stores they require. For travelers currently in Binjai, visiting the mall can be a worthwhile addition to your itinerary, whether for light shopping, enjoying a cup of coffee at Max Coffee, or simply relaxing with family. With its extended operating hours and highly accessible location, Binjai Mall is well-positioned to complement your daily activities in North Sumatra.
