Why Visit This Destination

The park’s distinct advantage lies in its diverse array of attractions within a single, well-planned expanse. More than just a green open space, it harmoniously integrates historical elements, environmental education, and entertainment. The presence of a nearly three-century-old Rumoh Aceh (traditional Acehnese house) serves as a tangible testament to the preservation of Acehnese cultural heritage, allowing visitors to study traditional architecture firsthand. Furthermore, its strategic location—just a seven-minute drive from the city center—provides exceptional accessibility without sacrificing the tranquility of nature. Consequently, this area presents an ideal solution for those seeking a comprehensive tourism experience in a single visit.

Experiences to Enjoy

Visitors can easily spend a full day engaging in the diverse activities on offer. The walking trails circling the large lake provide an ideal route for leisurely strolls or morning jogs. For a more interactive experience, you can rent a duck boat to explore the lake or try the suspended bicycle ride, which offers a unique elevated perspective. The site also features a mini zoo housing various animals, including deer, monkeys, snakes, and birds, making it an effective outdoor educational resource for children. For adrenaline seekers, dedicated arenas for skateboarding, paintball, and ATV riding await to challenge your adventurous spirit. Conversely, the serene atmosphere surrounding the Rumoh Aceh offers a contemplative space to explore local history and view traditional Acehnese pottery collections.

Practical Visitor Tips

For an optimal experience, it is advisable to bring insect repellent, as the park’s dense foliage may harbor insects in the late afternoon. Wear comfortable, lightweight footwear to prevent fatigue while exploring the entire grounds. If traveling with a baby stroller, note that certain pathways may require smoothing for a smoother journey. Allocate a minimum of half a day to fully experience all rides, the zoo, and the historical precincts. Supporting local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by purchasing souvenirs at the gift shop will also contribute to the continued development of the area’s tourism potential.

Visitor Reviews

"A quite nice city forest. There is a large, clear lake here as well. Unfortunately, however, there is a lot of scattered plastic waste."

— Dolly Aswin Harahap (2/5)

"A complete family tourism package. The grounds are spacious, clean, and feature numerous photo spots. There are gardens, a lake with clear blue water, and you can even ride the boats. Additionally, the fairly comprehensive zoo allows you to introduce children to various animals firsthand."

"This park is very easy to reach, about 7 minutes from the center of Langsa City. The parking area is spacious and neatly organized. Play facilities include duck boat rowing, suspended cycles, a skateboarding arena, a paintball arena, an ATV arena, etc. On the west side, several Rumoh Aceh (traditional Acehnese houses) are also located, making it highly suitable for historical tourism, especially for younger generations."

— Busyairi Umar (4/5)

"Entrance is Rp10.000 per person, and parking is Rp2.000 for motorcycles. Here you can take leisurely walks, have picnics, try out the various rides, and take plenty of photos. If just strolling and taking pictures feels ordinary, I recommend entering the Rumoh Aceh to glimpse a bit of Acehnese history and the historical artifacts housed inside."

— Eka Shilfia (4/5)

"Strategic city center location, across from the hospital, close to the Heroes' Cemetery Park, and our lodging was across from KONI. Facilities: Separate parking area for motorcycles and cars, rest pavilions around the forest park area, prayer room, public toilets, traditional house, food court. It would be better to have a flower garden or plant flowers with scents that mosquitoes dislike, as there is no insect repellent lotion for sale here."

— NOVITA WULANDARI (4/5)
