Why Visit This Destination

The distinctive feature of Pasar Baru lies in its seamlessly integrated dual concept. Conversely, the upper floors have been developed into a more modern area equipped with facilities such as escalators and elevators, ensuring easy access for visitors of all ages. Experiences to Enjoy

As you explore Pasar Baru, you will encounter a dynamic shopping environment. A primary highlight is the opportunity to negotiate prices, particularly in designated zones that still operate under conventional market systems. Direct interaction with vendors can provide a distinct sense of satisfaction when securing the best possible price for your desired items. For fashion and footwear enthusiasts, shopping at establishments such as Toko Nabila is highly recommended. Visitors can discover a wide selection of high-quality, first-class shoes, including renowned brands, all at competitive prices. The shop owners’ expertise in offering tailored recommendations further enhances your overall experience. The market’s atmosphere can become quite crowded, especially during religious holidays or peak vacation seasons. Getting There

The location of Pasar Baru is highly accessible due to its position on a major city arterial road. The complete address is Jl. Otto Iskandar Dinata No. 152, Kb. Jeruk, Kec. Andir, Kota Bandung, West Java 40181. Both public and private transportation access is well-established in this area. For self-driving visitors, dedicated parking facilities are available. However, important considerations apply to parking choices. Many visitors report that parking in the basement or underground level presents specific challenges, including steep inclines and a lack of lane dividers, which require extra caution when navigating around other vehicles. Furthermore, some visitors have noted cleanliness issues and less-than-pleasant odors in the basement area. Consequently, the highly recommended alternative is to utilize the rooftop parking facility. In addition to being safer and more comfortable, rooftop parking offers appealing views of the Bandung cityscape. Regarding payments, management accepts various modern transaction methods, including debit cards, credit cards, and NFC mobile payments, eliminating concerns about carrying cash.

Practical Tips for Visitors

To ensure a smooth visit, consider applying the following practical tips. First, prioritize rooftop parking to avoid the difficulties and discomforts frequently encountered in the basement area. Second, if you are using ride-hailing applications such as Grab, ensure you set the pickup point directly in front of the Pasar Baru building to prevent confusion in the often congested frontage. Third, allow ample time for navigation, as the market spans multiple levels. If you plan to purchase souvenirs or bulk necessities, visit during periods when you have access to holiday allowance funds or dedicated wholesale shopping budgets, as prices are highly competitive for large-volume purchases. Fourth, prepare for the relatively warm indoor climate by wearing comfortable clothing and carrying wet wipes or hand sanitizer, as while cleaning facilities are available, maintaining personal hygiene in a busy market environment remains essential.

Visitor Reviews

"Great shopping spot with multiple levels. Bargaining is allowed to secure lower prices. The road in front of Pasar Baru is extremely congested. If booking a Grab, it is advisable to set the pickup location directly in front of this Pasar Baru building."

— Azlan_Inc (5/5)

"I parked my car in the basement. It turned out the ramp is extremely steep, and worst of all, there are no dividers between lanes, making it very difficult to pass other vehicles. Someone always has to yield. On top of that, there is a massive accumulation of trash in the basement. WORST OF ALL, FOR FIRST-TIME VISITORS, DO NOT TRY PARKING IN THE BASEMENT UNLESS YOU WANT TO END UP TRAUMATIZED LIKE MY FAMILY AND I."

— Ridwan Muhammady (1/5)

"Similar to a typical market, it was quite crowded and difficult to find parking when I visited near the Eid al-Fitr holiday. The restrooms are clean and paid. It gets quite hot inside, but I would recommend it for those looking to spend their holiday allowance (THR) on bulk purchases."

— Dale (4/5)

"Go and buy good shoes at Toko Nabila. The owner, Ahmad, is highly experienced. I bought a few pairs of excellent first-class Puma shoes at a good price. Highly recommended."

— Zuraini Dzulkapli (4/5)

"Park on the rooftop to enjoy views of Bandung city. This market features mall-like amenities, including escalators and elevators. It serves as a reliable shopping hub for Bandung residents and tourists alike, offering a complete range of souvenir options."

— LUKMAN BUDI PURWANTO (4/5)
